Share stories, and complimentary toast 5 P.M. after the beach at Alexis Restaurant, West Broadway at Vine. John and Theo are also supplying courtesy applies for the toast as well as preparing a special ($7.99 + Tax) menu of full lamb or chicken souvlaki dinners for those who have worked up an appetite at the beach. We are hoping Wreck Beach musicians will jam in Billie's honour knowing how much he loved his Country Western and rock and roll from the ‘50's and ‘60's. Alexis is not open until 4 p.m. Call or email Judy for additional information or if you can help out with the music...

The WBPS has just learned that warm gentle Klaus, always ready with a welcoming smile who deeply loved Wreck Beach is no longer with us on this mortal coil. His sister, Sylvia, sent an open letter to all Klaus's Wreck Beach friends via his website. Her
letter
reads: Klaus'
sister,
Sylvia
and family Dearest
Klaus, Adapted from The PROPHET, by Kahlil Gibran Klaus
had
a huge
lion heart filled with golden sunshine. You are

Terry passed away following a long battle with smoking related lung and heart disease. He was a good friend to the nudist and naturist community in the lower mainland and was the webmaster for the Wreck Beach Preservation Society web site for many years. He also volunteered for the society in operating their nude swim nights at Lord Byng pool where he helped with the ticket desk. Terry was a founding member of the Skinnydipper Nude Recreation Club when they organized their nude swims at the Newton Wave Pool and was instrumental in the ultimate formation of that organization in its present form. We will miss his willing help, his easy wit and his great sense of humour. Rest in Peace, Terry. Thank you Paul Andreassen from Skinnydippers for this memorial. |
